Throughout the Bible, God often refers to His people as pilgrims, strangers, aliens: in the world but not of the world. God promises blessings for those who consider themselves as such: “Blessed is the man whose strength is in You, whose heart is set on pilgrimage.” Psalm 84:5

But how do we live in the world, yet not be of the world? How do we avoid being tangled up and corrupted by worldly things? How can we be faithful to our Heavenly King while living among fallen people in a fallen world?
